We are excited to share again that our school has recently begun its journey with High Performance Learning (HPL). HPL is an evidence-based approach to teaching and learning which believes that all children are capable of high achievement. It focuses on developing not only academic skills, but also the attitudes and behaviours that help pupils to become confident, independent and lifelong learners.
As part of this introduction, we would like to gather your views through our first parent survey. Your feedback will help us to understand what you already know about HPL, how you feel about the approach, and how we can best involve you as partners in this journey.
The survey should only take a few minutes to complete, and your responses will be anonymous.
Please find attached a Flu Parent Letter regarding the upcoming influenza vaccination that is offered to all pupils from Kindergarten to Year 6. Please complete the form as soon as possible. Deadline for submitting the consent form: 13/10/2025

Broomfield Run Club are excited to take part in the Junior Parkrun this Sunday at Moormead Park. It starts at 9am and we will meet at 8:45am. Please can the children wear their Broomfield Run Club T-Shirts (if your child has recently joined the club and you need us to bring a T’shirt, please email the office). It’s a 2km route (2 laps) which is just under what we usually do at school. The children will run by themselves, but Adults are ok to join but their time will not be recorded. We will have Broomfield staff there on the day but the children will be the parents responsibility for the entire time. We will not be bringing any first aid or medical items so please ensure you have the necessary items if your child has an inhaler or epipen. If this is your child’s first park run, you can register on the link below and find some more information about the event.

A huge thank you to all the dads who joined drinks last Friday – it was such a fun evening and a great chance to catch up. Events like this really remind us what a fantastic group of dads we have. Looking forward to the next one already!

Kindergarten had a blast making delicious pizzas at pizza express. The children carefully followed the instructions to make their own margarita pizzas. First they spread out the dough, next they added tomato sauce before finally sprinkling on mozzarella. Great job, Kindergarten!
Broomfield House School footballers put on an excellent display in their recent matches against Radnor School. We took two teams, involving all the boys from Years 4 to 6, giving everyone the chance to represent the school. Both teams performed brilliantly, showing great teamwork, determination and skill. The first team secured an impressive 6–2 victory, while the second team followed up with a strong 4–2 win. It was a fantastic effort from all the boys, who should be very proud of their performances.
Year 2 explored portrait drawing. They examined facial features in more detail and created expressive self-portraits using felt-tip pens.
This week our pupil voice shares a tale of friendship. We were touched to learn that Amelia was missing one of the Year 6 leavers who she had built a relationship with during playtimes last year. Fortunately, her younger sister Camilla is at Broomfield and soon found out that Amelia missed her sister. She went above and beyond and brought in a book from Tara with a handwritten note inside. Amelia was full of smiles all day – as were Camilla and Tara. Like this, many children at Broomfield buddy up with younger children, demonstrating care and kindness to ensure playtimes are filled with happiness. Evidently, even when one child moves on from Broomfield, they very much remain a part of the Broomfield family. If you have had a special experience like this, that you would like to share, please remember to share it with Mrs Carver Williams or write it down and put it inside our Pupil Experience box outside the atrium!
