Senior School Musical
A reminder for our Year 5 and 6 parents who have still to order tickets for the Senior School Musical Peter Pan, the closing date for your orders in 12pm on Tuesday 2nd July. There will be two performances, an evening performance, which will take place on Thursday 4th July at 6pm, and a matinee performance, which will take place on Friday 5th July at 2pm.
Den Day – 4th July
Den Day, will take place on Thursday 4th July. All of the children will have fun building dens in school to raise money for Save the Children. It will be a fun way for us to raise funds that will change children’s lives, whilst learning new skills, including team building. Once the dens have been built the children will enjoy a picnic lunch inside their dens. On Wednesday 3rd July, we kindly ask that each child brings in an item from home to help build the dens. This can be cardboard boxes, a blanket or a sheet, some clothes pegs, or any other item from around the house that might make good building materials. A link to donate to Save the children can be found by clicking here.
Summer Camp: 15th to 19th July

Children staying for a whole day should bring a packed lunch which must not include nuts or eggs. We provide drinks and snacks. On Wednesday, the KS1 children wowed their teachers and parents with an exceptional array of poems. The Year 1 children selected a poem, while the Year 2 children wrote their own. Both classes excelled in their delivery and recited with eloquence, confidence and pride. A huge congratulations to every child for making the morning most magical and memorable for us all.
We are delighted to share that our Year 4 children successfully ran their annual Elderflower Stall at the Kew Fête last Saturday. It was a fantastic day for everyone involved. The event attracted thousands of visitors from across London, creating a vibrant and lively atmosphere.
The handmade sweet treats were a big hit. We received an email from Pippa, the Kew Fete Stalls Coordinator, informing us that they are still finalising the totals, but it looks like the event has raised around £20,000 for local charities, which is fantastic news. Thank you all for your support and contributions!
Kindergarten had a great day out at the London museum of water and steam. The day started with an interactive puppet show before an opportunity to explore the museum where the children learnt about steam engines, how our water is cleaned and how it has changed over the years. After lunch they enjoyed playing in the splash zone in the sun before boarding the bus back to school.
Year 4 studied Henri Matisse and his work. Inspired by his work, the children created a colouring pencil drawing of his studio, integrating leaf shapes like the ones he used in his decoupage work at the end of his life.

We are proud of our Year 6 children who noticed an alarming amount of rubbish on the beach in Spain and decided to take action. The children were able to gather a significant amount of rubbish. It was great to see Broomfield’s eco credentials extending beyond the school grounds – even on holiday! #litterpick #environmentalawareness #prepschooltrip #spainschooltrip

We are celebrating World Book Day with a truly special treat this year! Following the success of yesterday’s incredible Dukes Great British Bake Off, we are launching our first-ever Dukes Great British Bake-Off Recipe Book with families this week.
Finalists from across the Dukes family showcased their delicious, book-inspired bakes to a panel of judges at Dukes House, and their creations were simply too yummy to resist! From magical cakes to literary-themed pastries, the creativity of all the finalists was nothing short of extraordinary.
We were delighted to be joined by Aatif Hassan, Chairman and Founder of Dukes Education, and Tim Fish, UK CEO, who celebrated the children’s fantastic creations alongside us.
A huge thank you also to all the English departments who took part, celebrating not just baking, but the love of books and storytelling through food. And last but not least, a special thank you to Lauren Carver Williams, Head of KS1 at Broomfield House School, for her incredible work in organising this event!
