Senior School Musical
A reminder for our Year 5 and 6 parents who have still to order tickets for the Senior School Musical Peter Pan, the closing date for your orders in 12pm on Tuesday 2nd July. There will be two performances, an evening performance, which will take place on Thursday 4th July at 6pm, and a matinee performance, which will take place on Friday 5th July at 2pm.
Den Day – 4th July
Den Day, will take place on Thursday 4th July. All of the children will have fun building dens in school to raise money for Save the Children. It will be a fun way for us to raise funds that will change children’s lives, whilst learning new skills, including team building. Once the dens have been built the children will enjoy a picnic lunch inside their dens. On Wednesday 3rd July, we kindly ask that each child brings in an item from home to help build the dens. This can be cardboard boxes, a blanket or a sheet, some clothes pegs, or any other item from around the house that might make good building materials. A link to donate to Save the children can be found by clicking here.

On Wednesday, the KS1 children wowed their teachers and parents with an exceptional array of poems. The Year 1 children selected a poem, while the Year 2 children wrote their own. Both classes excelled in their delivery and recited with eloquence, confidence and pride. A huge congratulations to every child for making the morning most magical and memorable for us all.
We are delighted to share that our Year 4 children successfully ran their annual Elderflower Stall at the Kew Fête last Saturday. It was a fantastic day for everyone involved. The event attracted thousands of visitors from across London, creating a vibrant and lively atmosphere.
The handmade sweet treats were a big hit. We received an email from Pippa, the Kew Fete Stalls Coordinator, informing us that they are still finalising the totals, but it looks like the event has raised around £20,000 for local charities, which is fantastic news. Thank you all for your support and contributions!
Kindergarten had a great day out at the London museum of water and steam. The day started with an interactive puppet show before an opportunity to explore the museum where the children learnt about steam engines, how our water is cleaned and how it has changed over the years. After lunch they enjoyed playing in the splash zone in the sun before boarding the bus back to school.
Year 4 studied Henri Matisse and his work. Inspired by his work, the children created a colouring pencil drawing of his studio, integrating leaf shapes like the ones he used in his decoupage work at the end of his life.

This award is a true testament to what is one of the cornerstones of our philosophy and work at Broomfield.
With the theme “The Heart of Education” the conference provided a fantastic opportunity for professional development. Thought-provoking discussions explored the impact of AI, the future of education, and the critical importance of character development in shaping the young leaders of tomorrow.
