We are very excited to be running our wonderful Easter Camp between Monday 31st March and Friday 4th April and children between Pre-Kindergarten and Year 6 are welcome to join us. It will be run by Miss Bendall and Mr Pache, supported by helpers from within our school community. There will be two sessions each day: mornings run between 8:30am to 12 noon and afternoons are between 1pm and 3.30pm. Please use this online form below to book your child’s Easter Camp sessions. Once we have received your completed form, the team will confirm your chosen days to avoid any confusion. Easter Camp has always been extremely popular so please book early to avoid disappointment. The deadline for bookings is Friday 7th March.
WORLD BOOK DAY
We will be celebrating World Book Day on Friday 7th March. Children are welcome to come to school dressed as their favourite book characters for the day. Y2 will need to bring their PE kit for their scooter training in the afternoon.
INTERHOUSE SWIMMING GALA
The Broomfield Inter-House Swimming Gala will be held at Teddington Swimming Pool on Wednesday 6th March at 1.30pm. Children from Years 4 – 6 will be swimming in one or more events. We recommend parking in local neighbouring roads as the car park is very small, leaving enough time for a short walk to the pool. Please send your child to school in their games kit with their swimsuits, goggles and a towel. Strictly no parents are allowed in the changing rooms at any time. Parents and all spectators will watch from the balcony. Please remember that the spectator gallery spaces are limited to one spectator per child.
The Gala is expected to finish by 3:15pm, when Mr Anstey will present the winning House Captain with the Inter-House Swimming Gala trophy. Your children will be ready for collection no later than 3:30pm; they will be dismissed by their class teachers from the reception area into the outside area. If you cannot collect your child from the pool, we will bring them back to school for dismissal. Please let the school office know if you child will be returning to school with the staff. All clubs will run as normal and any child taking part in a club will be taken back to school for it. Please do not stand in the reception area waiting for your child; this is a request from the Teddington pool management. Therefore, please wait outside. We look forward to seeing you all there.
PALMER HOUSE RAFFLE AND CAKE SALE
The highly anticipated annual Palmer House Raffle and Cake Sale will take place on the bottom patch on Friday 14th March. (The rafflle takes place during Fridays Assembly). They will continue their outdoor learning experience with lots of interesting games and lessons. Please make sure the children have their jackets, hats and scarfs in case it is a cold day.
Broomfield House School showcased exceptional talent and determination at the prestigious Dukes Cross Count event held at Putney Heath. The entire team, from Year 3 to Year 6, delivered outstanding performances demonstrating resilience and teamwork across all of the age groups. A standout achievement came from the Year 4 girls who clinched the gold medal with a dominant display of speed and endurance. Their victory was a testament to their hard work and dedication during training. Overall, it was a day of pride and celebration for Broomfield House School, highlighting the school’s commitment to fostering both athletic excellence and sportsmanship. Congratulations to all participants!
Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten classes had so much fun visiting PICNIC a role-play experience on Wednesday. They immersed themselves into the small world play. Some children became chefs, some hairdressers and other became theatre performers! They also particularly liked performing on the stage and working on a construction site. We were impressed with the children’s imaginative ideas, conversations and collaborative play. (Pictures to follow next week)
Fantastic news reached us that on Saturday, Gigi and Ollie knocked the current national champions from the top spot and got gold! Their scores collected throughout the league have left them in 1st place entering nationals with the high possibility of becoming the new national champions 😊. Congratulations – we are very proud!
Year 2 looked at the proportion of a person and drew ice skaters. They practised their colouring skills and also reflected on pattern. To give the picture a winter atmosphere the children painted the background with white poster paint.

We are celebrating World Book Day with a truly special treat this year! Following the success of yesterday’s incredible Dukes Great British Bake Off, we are launching our first-ever Dukes Great British Bake-Off Recipe Book with families this week.
Finalists from across the Dukes family showcased their delicious, book-inspired bakes to a panel of judges at Dukes House, and their creations were simply too yummy to resist! From magical cakes to literary-themed pastries, the creativity of all the finalists was nothing short of extraordinary.
We were delighted to be joined by Aatif Hassan, Chairman and Founder of Dukes Education, and Tim Fish, UK CEO, who celebrated the children’s fantastic creations alongside us.
A huge thank you also to all the English departments who took part, celebrating not just baking, but the love of books and storytelling through food. And last but not least, a special thank you to Lauren Carver Williams, Head of KS1 at Broomfield House School, for her incredible work in organising this event!
