Broomfield House School offers an exceptional blend of modern facilities alongside its historic Victorian heritage, creating a dynamic and inspiring environment for children. The careful preservation of Broomfield’s Victorian character alongside contemporary learning environments embodies the school’s ethos—where heritage meets innovation, and every space reflects our commitment to providing children with an enriching education grounded in tradition and future-focused learning.
Our school facilities bring together specialist teaching spaces—from art, music, drama, and computing studios to versatile classrooms—all thoughtfully integrated around the original Victorian house. This historic heart of the school now houses Years 4–6 classrooms, study spaces for small-group and one-to-one teaching, and a dedicated computing studio. The adjacent annex accommodates Years 2 and 3.
The school hall, spanning multiple uses, functions as a theatre, gymnasium, and assembly venue—enhancing our ability to host performances, assemblies, and major school events in a single, adaptable space. Through a vaulted glass atrium lie our art room, music practice studios, main music suite, modern library, and Early Years classrooms—all designed for bright, flexible learning. Harrow House also houses our Year 1 and Year 2 classrooms. All classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards, comfortable furniture, and ample natural light.
Interactive whiteboards, class libraries, well-lit rooms, and a striking dining hall and kitchen with natural finishes and vibrant tones ensure every space is conducive to learning. Our computing studio features a full set of iPads and desktop computers, allowing children to engage in activities like filmmaking, animation, and coding.
Outdoor learning is equally celebrated: playgrounds are tailored to different age groups—from Pre-Kindergarten through Key Stage 2—featuring sports equipment, colourful safety surfacing, a traversing wall, a pond, and specified areas for constructive and exploratory play.
Broomfield House School benefits enormously from its prime location near Kew Gardens and Syon Park, two remarkable green spaces that greatly enrich our curriculum. Just steps from our playgrounds lies Kew Gardens—the world’s most diverse botanical garden—where our children visit regularly to take part in science and plant ecology workshops.
A short bus journey also takes us to nearby Syon Park, home to Syon House and 200 acres of landscaped gardens and ancient woodlands. Here, through our partnership with Redbeard Forest School, pupils engage in forest-school-style sessions in a natural outdoor classroom. Children practise safe woodcraft skills, den-building and wildlife identification.
Broomfield House School also benefits from its close proximity to the expansive sports grounds of Old Deer Park, offering exceptional opportunities for pupils to engage in outdoor and team sports. Just a short walk away, the Athletic Ground within Old Deer Park provides well-maintained pitches for football, rugby, and cricket—regularly hosting local and school fixtures. Additionally, our children enjoy access to Pools on the Park, a nearby leisure centre boasting indoor and outdoor heated pools—all set within the scenic Old Deer Park landscape. This seamless integration of school and local amenities enriches our PE and extracurricular programme.
