Values

Our core values of Curiosity, Creativity, Courage and Kindness underpin everything we do at Broomfield House School and our children learn to apply all of these core values throughout their time with us.

A Holistic Approach

A balanced and holistic approach to education is key for us. We allow children to be children, for their individual characters to naturally shine through in a multitude of wonderful ways, allowing their self-confidence to develop exponentially. Happy children learn best, and our approach puts each child at the very core.

Forward Thinking

We prepare children for an ever-changing, developing world with a focus on a curriculum that is forward thinking and modern. We adapt, evolve and modernise the content taught, ensuring that children can apply their knowledge to real world examples and be ready for new experiences and challenges that present themselves.

We utilise a blended learning approach, that ensures pupils have access to the latest technology along with the skills needed to design and create modern content across the curriculum.

Mindset

We embody a growth mindset approach across the school. Children believe in themselves and in the power of their brains. We encourage all children to approach difficult challenges, new concepts and new skills with a range of strategies that inspire a positive ‘can do’ mindset. We encourage independent thinking and problem solving. Meta-learning is embraced and we support each child in understanding how they themselves learn best. We challenge children with higher order thinking, ensuring they are not afraid of applying themselves to more complex concepts and ideas and importantly of getting things wrong.
