Earth Day

Posted: 22nd April 2022

It was amazing to see the colourful array of animal and plant life running around the playground today as Broomfield celebrated Earth Day.  Mr Anstey led an assembly on what we can all do to protect our planet.  Little incremental changes, such as walking short distances instead of taking the car, remembering to turn off lights or putting on a jumper so you can turn down the thermostat will all make a difference.  In school we have changed some of our purchasing habits to choose more environmentally friendly products and are on the journey to becoming carbon neutral, a ambitious target but one we feel is crucial.

Here is a photo of some of the creative costumes sported by children in Year 2.

We are delighted to share the findings of the recent ISI Inspection which rated Broomfield excellent across all areas, both in the academic and other achievements of the pupils and in their personal development.

Here is the link to the report itself so you can read the inspectors’ wonderfully positive comments for yourself.
