Kindergarten have been learning all about bees and their importance in our environment. The class had a fabulous visit to the Hive at Kew Gardens, to experience what it might be like to be a bee. The children listened to the buzzing noises and pretended to be bees, busily seeking pollen in the sunshine. They discovered that the LED lights they saw blinking on and off were connected to a real bee hive and were flashing due to the vibrations in that confined space. A wonderful minibeast hunt in the glorious gardens wrapped up a fun filled visit.
