Trips Week

Posted: 13th November 2020

We may be in the middle of a pandemic but we are determined that cancelled school trips will not negatively impact our curriculum.   So this week Mr Montague has worked with class teachers to create opportunities for an exciting Virtual Reality Trips Week.  Kindergarten had a fabulous time at San Diego Zoo while Year 1 plunged beneath the waves on an underwater adventure.  Year 2 took trips to the Natural History Museum to uncover fascinating facts about dinosaurs.  This was built upon through a subsequent exploration of the dinosaur extinction event.  Year 3 went back in time to Ancient Egypt as part of their history curriculum and Year 4 investigated the Battle of Hastings.  A visit to Buckingham Palace thrilled Year 5, who also took VR excursions around the human heart and the solar system.  The vicissitudes of Roman Life were uncovered by Year 6, who looked into what went on in the arena of the Colosseum.  Other trips explored World Festivals as part of our Diwali celebrations, WW1 and Ancient Greece.
