Our little bundles of fluff

Posted: 27th February 2020

Pancake, Pickles, Salah, Cuddly and Rose have all emerged from their eggs into the world of the Year 1 classroom.  As well as picking up some lessons in animal husbandry the class have been learning about the democratic process.  The children put forward their ideas for what their new charges might be called and then voted on them, hence the variety of names which were chosen.  It’s amazing how noisy something so small can be especially Pancake, the eldest.  The photograph below shows Pickles making his escape from his egg, it was an eggsausting process!  The ducklings are bringing a lots of happiness to the children who are looking forward to introducing them to water next week.  What a great time to be in Year 1.
