Christmas Jumper Day

Creating our own Christmas jumpers is a fun, creative and environmentally friendly alternative to buying new ones every year. Many shop-bought jumpers are worn only a handful of times before ending up in landfill, which creates unnecessary waste and contributes to pollution. By designing and decorating our own jumpers, we can reuse clothes we already have, reduce our carbon footprint, and celebrate the festive season in a more sustainable way. It also allows everyone to express their individuality, adds a personal touch to the tradition, and often costs far less than purchasing something new. Even better, the money you save by not buying a new jumper can be donated to a charity of your choice, spreading kindness and making a positive difference to others. Making your own jumper is not only better for the planet, but also a more meaningful and memorable experience.

Christmas Play Costumes

The PTA will be collecting children’s Christmas costumes after next week’s nativity plays so that we can reuse them in future years and keep things simple (and sustainable!) for everyone.

If you would like to donate a costume, we will have a box ready for collections in the Atrium from Friday next week 🎄✨

Broomfield House School at Kew Sparkle

Join us on Friday 5th December for this year’s wonderful Kew Sparkle Community event.

Held in Kew Village, the festivities will begin a little earlier this year at 4.00 p.m. with a special ‘Nutcracker’ themed performance by the Richmond Dance Collective on the main stage.

Highlights

Year 3 at the Natural History Museum

Last Friday the children in Year 3 enjoyed a trip to the Natural History Museum where they took part in a Dino Dig fossils workshop and explored the galleries of rocks, fossils and dinosaurs. The children had an excellent day out and members of the public commented on how well behaved they were. A huge thank you to our parent helpers who supported our trip!

Children V Parents - Football and Netball

The Year 6 Children vs Parents Football and Netball matches on Wednesday 26th November 2026 were a fantastic display of energy, teamwork and good-spirited competition. Both parents and pupils showed great determination and plenty of skill, creating an exciting atmosphere across both venues. The parents put up an excellent challenge in every match, but it was the pupils who ultimately came out on top, showcasing their speed, teamwork and growing tactical awareness. Most importantly, everyone took part with enthusiasm and a real sense of community. It was a wonderful afternoon of sport, fun and school spirit. Well done to all involved!

YEar 3

This week in history, Year 3 had an exciting hands-on activity as part of their Ancient Egypt topic. They designed and created their own sarcophagi, using bright colors and intricate patterns inspired by real Egyptian artifacts. This creative project helped them explore the importance of burial customs and symbolism in Egyptian culture, making their learning both fun and memorable.
