Year 5 enjoyed a great trip to Hampton Court Palace. They spent time in the 500 year old kitchens being both impressed and rather disgusted at what the Tudors ate. They looked at the supply routes from around the world which sent silks, furs, gold and spices to the Tudor court and enjoyed seeing the famous tapestries. They also had time to explore the buildings looking for a suitable room to hold a secret meeting in, leading them through secret doors and passages, into armouries and up grand staircases. The days was rounded off by exploring the gardens. It was a very memorable day.
